DOG DAYS OF SUMMER IN WISCONSIN

Masses of flowers look good still, but we need rain. Actually, hasnt been too hot out, in the 80's and fall feels like it is coming soon.

With the gas prices, you see more bikers. But the Madison area has lots of bike paths, weekends see people out everywhere. With the lack of rain, most every day
is sunshine. Biking around Lake Monona is popular, as is the Farmers Market on the Square. Below are photos of a vegetable stand.

Vegetable Stand, got good stuff. Eugster's, sweet corn, tomatoes, melons.

Stand worker is putting corn to back of truck to pick from. Baker's dozen, 5 dollars

A wall painting from the tomb of King AY. There is a story here. You remember the young king Tutankhamun, who was buried with all that wealth? His young widow was then married to AY, who was 70 at the time. She was not too happy with the arrangement, possibly also because he was her grandfather!

HELLBOY II AT THEATERS NOW !

Well, thought I should see the original HELLBOY before going to the new flick. This on the advice of my daughter, Stacey. Seems this classic has a following. Could not find a copy at a couple Video stores, then got the last one at Blockbuster.

So people are checking out the original enmasse. Some, probably after seeing HELLBOY II.

I like the part in the original where he is grinding down his horns. He does this so he "fits in" so to speak. Some real sci-fi here, other genres touched on also.
